This individual will meet the data and analytical needs of Margin Recovery by conducting routine maintenance on Margin Recovery’s proprietary business intelligence, namely queries, tables, pricers, etc. They will also be responsible for creating and maintaining all internal and external client reports. As a member of Margin Recovery’s Data and Analytics Team, you'll help build a growing organization, learn different hard skills, and serve in a multitude of roles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create monthly reports for our internal and external clients demonstrating the findings of Margin Recovery’s teams
- Acquire data from varied data sources, develop sustainable, replicable and accurate reports; conduct analysis
- Develop automated data processes that programmatically calculate reimbursement and isolate selected hospital account volume that leads to underpayment identifications
- Maintains integrity/accuracy of Margin Recovery’s data tables including updating said tables as industry updates occur
- Updates and maintains all coding tables related to reimbursement indicators
- Work with clients to understand their business requirements and to assist with the development and design of their reporting needs
- Strict adherence to HIPAA privacy and security rules, including following Margin Recovery policy at all times
- All other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant background
- Proficiency with using MS Excel
- Strong analytical, technical, and creative problem-solving skills
- Eagerness to learn several areas related to the technical needs of the organization
- Ability to work independently and as team
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/assignments and meet established timeframes
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant professional experience within Hospital/Insurance industry
- Basic understanding of relational database structures
- Experience with Power BI
- Experience with SQL
